In this paper, a novel procedure for optimal design of geometrically nonlinear submerged arches is proposed. It based on the Coral Reefs Optimization with Substrate Layers algorithm, multi-method ensemble evolutionary approach solving optimization problems. A arch shape parameterization combined algorithm. This new allows considering geometrical parameters in process, addition to reduction bending moment carried out by classical approach. The importance second-order behaviour structure shown different numerical experiments. Moreover, it that use algorithm leads nearly-optimal solutions, ensuring stability structure, reducing maximum absolute value, and complying serviceability structural restrictions.
